Paris student demonstrations attacked

Another interesting news story seems to have missed the UK media.  Earlier this month, student demonstrations in Paris,  against the French government's education reforms,  were violently broken up.  By the CRS?  By right-wing counter demonstrators?  No,  by large gangs of African and Arab youths attacking and robbing the students.  It seems that even the CGT (trade union) stewards and the police were powerless to prevent this.  The Figaro reported:

"Between the Place de la République and the Place de la Bastille, the demonstration's numerous crowd control volunteers, lent to the students by the CGT, the FSU, and the Unsa (National Union of Autonomous Syndicates), themselves accompanied by an imposing police presence, were unsuccessful in keeping out the thousand young people who, though not part of the demonstration, showed up running here and there in the procession, often with clubs in their hands."

Le Monde has some choice quotes from the attackers:

'I didn't go for the protest but to take cell phones and hit people,' he says. 'There were little groups running, agitating the crowd. And in the middle of these clowns, little Frenchies looking like victims.'

'The 'little whites' don't know how to fight and don't belong to gangs. The risk of attacking them is thus less.'

This must all be very confusing for the French dribbling liberal-lefties (yes, they have them over there too).  Haven't they always campaigned for the rights of the Arab and African immigrants?  Aren't they all on the same side against the imperialist bourgeoisie?  It appears not.  It seems that a lot of them were just out to thump a few 'little whites' and to steal a few phones. 

A further protest a week later only attracted a third of the number of demonstrators.  Have Arab and African gangs succeeded where the CRS and the French right always failed?  Have they scared the French left off the streets of Paris?

(1) And now ALL Arab and African immigrants are out on the streets thieving, aren't they. Why bother to punish only those immigrants who are responsible for bad behaviour when they all look alike and its so much easier for a lazy philosopher..oh sorry thats another post intended only for white people

(3) Of course no one has ever seen a white gang in France. Or they have and they are reported in the UK media every day. I can't remember which.
