An outfit called Action in England is planning to hold a rally in Trafalgar Square this Saturday to support Denmark's stance on free speech.
I have no idea who Action in England are, who else is involved, who will be stewarding the demo or whether it has police permission. I will do some digging and update you as soon as I know more.

well done lets sort this out the muslims think they can rule the world and its about time it got stopped

I'm not sure that this lot look tremendously nice. We'll get a lot of photos for the BBC to show with lots of George Crosses (ergo they must be BNP that kind of undertone).
This demo really badly needs to be candles only, possibly some really polite banners saying "Free Speech for Muslims".
We need to separate the moderates from the extremists and we'll never do that by fronting BNP type extremists in favour of Free Speech.
Somehow, I doubt that will happen.
*Sigh*

We have the moral high ground at the moment: the BBC, the LLL, the MCB and all the nutcases are on the back foot - this is our chance to consolidate it.
I don't think I will be able to bear an inflammatory flag waving session - we need to show that we genuinely ARE civilised in the way that the headhackers are not.
We need to extend the hand of FREEDOM in fhe face of violent oppression.
Where is the "left's" organising capability when you need it....

Good points PG. The right are never any good at organising this sort of thing.

I would be very interested to know more as I would like to turn up if this is going to be a rally about freedom of expression, but not if it is just going to be a hatefest about Islam (they do quite a good enough job of making themselves look loathsome without any help from me) or a BNP shindig (I have no interest in making common cause with white fascists in order to oppose Islamo-fascists).

Hobsons choice. Stay away and achieve nothing, or attend and risk the BBC presenting you as a racist.

I think those that show up and how they express themselves will define the rally more than the question of who originated it. If I were there I would show up with a Support Free Denmark banner of the Dissident Frogman.

You even question who these people are?

Thanks sonic, I enjoyed reading those truths.
Some people are so conservatively-BNP-paranoid, that the mere mention of the BNP taints the message in their eyes.
A truth is a truth is a truth no matter who's the messenger.
Should we dismiss ActioninEngland because they have corresponding views with the BNP in this particular issue, or is this just the same way the British press try to steer us from opposing immigration by seeking to convince that any other view corresponds with extremist far-right.

Threats to freedom of speech and expression are threats to anyone from anywhere who believes in the political process.
IF there is a demo in support of Denmark and freedom of speech I want to be there.
I hope the far right and far right stay under their stones

Oops the far left can stay at home too lol.

I think the best symbols are the Danish Flag and th English flag. They look good together and are colour negatives.
