Demo against 'the Islamisation of Europe' planned for 9/11

Via a note from The Exile, I found out about a Stop the Islamisation of Europe demonstration which is due to take place in Brussels on 11 September. I'm not sure who is behind it but it seems to have been bubbling away for a few weeks.  The initiative appears to have started in Denmark (where else?) but there are now 'chapters' of SIOE springing up all over Europe including the UK.

That said, I'm surprised that it has taken this long for me to find out about it. There hasn't been much about it on any of the blogs I usually visit. Even the IBA, to my knowledge, haven't covered it. For that reason I'm going to reserve judgement until I know a bit more about what is going on and who is behind it. If anyone can enlighten me, I'd be interested to know more.

Update 11 August: The mayor of Brussels has banned the demo but the Vlaams Belang has said that it will go ahead with the protest anyway.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!.....a petition?.. stand in the way of progress... i dont think so. You guys are fighting this from the wrong angle, you lot have got too much time on your hands, get yourselves jobs for a start & don't say theyr'e hard to find, immigrants find them 5 minutes after landing on 'your' soil, & here's where your answer lies to stopping the islamisation of europe, you dumb cunt's, it's so easy, instead of being profession dole claimers, why don't you fill in the labour demand hence stoping any more immigration, therefore SLOWING (not stopping) the amount of muslims present in 'your' nations.... it's not rocket science, whats a petition gonna do other than fill in the gap on your dole form in the section labelled 'what i have done to look for a job this week'... 'petition' ain't no good, get your asses of that bar stool & work your country instead of leaving immigrants to do your jobs while you lot stand around waving signs..clowns!
'The pen is mighter than the sword' only goes so far, this aint a extra tall garden fence your petitioning against, financial power is what counts here, & immigrants are worth more to the government than the idiginous people of which far too many are just 'takers'..leeches on the economy who petition every other weekend...where do you think your petitions end up? A waste of trees.
Petitions? rather than travel the hard road of grafting to get 'your' nations back, if exercising your wrists & voice boxes makes you feel better then by all means have fun... won't make shit all of a difference.
