Merry Christmas from the Prophet
For some people, one fatwa isn't enough. Not satisfied with just publishing cartoons of Mohammed and writing a musical about him, Lars Vilks has now produced a Mohammed Christmas card.
After the Swedish Postal Service refused to deliver copies of a newspaper containing Vilks's original cartoons, the Danish Free Press Society asked him to design a Christmas card for their members. Which he did.
Danish blogger Zonka translates the greeting as The Prophet wishes a Merry Christmas.
It's probably too late to order some to send to your friends this Christmas. They might do a re-print next year though.

Cool
It's just a pity that this cartoonist isn't actually very good. Looks like a 5 year old drew it!

How good do you expect the rotten old bastard to look after being dead for 1400 years?

That's a rubbish cartoon actually, but it gives me the chance to repost a couple of posts from my own forum which may well be relevent or if not, just intersting.
A member states -
'Right I have just joined my second ever forum, the Islamic Society of a very well known university in London, an unfortunate necessity given that I am writing a paper on Islamic financial instruments.
Thought I had better familairise myself with the forum rules, and most things "is not allowed".
No# 2 below beggars belief, though. Bear in mind this is a university in 2007, where it might be hoped some light had somehow found its way in:
Please familiarise yourselves with the forum rules regarding gender relations.
Quote:
B. Gender Relations
1. Winking emoticons directed at the opposite gender are not allowed.
2. Joking with the opposite gender is not allowed.
3. Excessively praising the opposite gender is not allowed.
4. Flattering the opposite gender is not allowed.
5. Declaring your love (for the sake of Allah) to the opposite gender is not allowed.
6. Unnecessary PMs towards the opposite gender is not allowed.'
It gets better asi n his next post, we have this.....
'I feel a bit of a traitor reporting on it but what is currently causing fever in the hen coop amongst the, university-educated, forum members is the discovery of a mummified dinosaur which scientists say could be 64m years old, thus making it 63.98m years older than the world actuallly is. The consternation, disbelief and cock-wringing this has set off is frightening to behold.'
Maybe there was an Islamic Darwin but they chopped his fingers off before he could put anything to paper.
