Olympic torch extinguished in Paris
Protesters in Paris have already forced the Olympic torch bearers to seek refuge on a special bus. During the confusion, either the police or Olympic officials extinguished the flame.
A great start, France. Keep up the pressure.

Twice. They snuffed it out twice!
I thought it was supposed to be a tradition that the torch had to stay lit for the entire run to the stadium, or at least the flame itself had to be passed on from torch to torch.
I don't think disposable cigaret lighters qualify but they're certainly fitting considering the country hosting the Olympics this year. What they ought to do is just stick an LED into the torch tube, take it to China, then squirt a little lighter fluid inside and flick their Bic.
Presto, one totally cheese lit torch to light the totally cheese Olympic flame.
God, the daydreams I have: Imagine, if you will, 100's of athletes ringing the Olympic flame, pissing on it.

This is just the beginning. London, Paris, then somewhere else... It's 4 months until the opening ceremony, anything can happen along the long path to China. And the more things happen the more other people feel encouraged to do the same or worse.
